ABOUT OPERATION FINANCIAL LITERACY    

Operation Financial Literacy is a 12 module secondary school resource for teachers, which combines classroom, community, web and research based activities and includes detailed teacher notes, lesson plans and student activity sheets.

Designed for Australian secondary schools – primarily middle school years - Operation Financial Literacy is a flexible financial literacy teaching resource. Operation Financial Literacy can be incorporated into a number of study areas including Business and Economics, Mathematics, SOSE, Enterprise Education, Life Skills, Vocational Learning and ICTs.

Operation Financial Literacy was written and evaluated by Australian teachers and has received endorsement by the Curriculum Corporation and the federal government’s Financial Literacy Foundation. Operation Financial Literacy has been mapped to the Australian Curriculum and the National Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework.

HOW TO ACCESS OPERATION FINANCIAL LITERACY

Financial Basics Foundation has a streamlined registration process so that all Members can have easy access to the range of Financial Basics Foundation resources and products, including Operation Financial Literacy. Register for Financial Basics Foundation membership here

MEMBERSHIP

Our programs are teaching resources, specifically designed for use in Australian schools. Financial Basics Foundation provides these resources free of charge to teachers working in Australian secondary schools and some charities, not-for profit organisations and individuals that provide direct financial literacy education to young people.

We are not currently able to provide access to our resources to organisations, students and individuals that do not meet this criteria.

If you are a student in an Australian secondary school, or a parent of a student in an Australian secondary school, we encourage you to speak with the relevant teacher(s) and encourage them to register via our website in order to access our resources.
